Our new house has a fabulous wrap-around deck with a covered portion, centered around a wood-burning fireplace. From the first, we knew we’d spend all kinds of time out there. It’s quickly become the place we entertain when friends are over.
This is a fairly large space, so it needs a good amount of furniture. We had just two matching teak side chairs from our old house. I bought them several years ago from Cost Plus World Market and I love them! But they were too small to fill the space on their own.
I wanted a rug to make the space feel more like an indoor room. I went with an indoor/outdoor rug from Ballard Designs (ours is in “Sand”). I love it so much I bought 3 more! The same rug is now in my mudroom, dining room, and front porch. It’s incredibly versatile.
Our sectional is incredibly comfortable, durable, and just perfect for the space. We picked the Provence customizable sofa from RH with cushions in “Dove.” The coffee table is the Pottery Barn Abbott concrete top table. I think it pulls the space together perfectly, and which I was able to find on OfferUp for a steal!
If you aren’t already scouring local marketplace sites like Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and Craigslist, get on that!! It’s a great way to find the brands you love for less money, and you can set up alerts. With alerts, sites will notify you when something gets listed that you’re looking for. I have found so many amazing deals that way, including our poker table and an RH console table. Definitely worth the work and the wait.
